NaBloPoMo Day 27 - Happy Fat Bird Day

Day Twenty Seven.

Giving Thanks.

There are so many things I am thankful for this year, not the least being that I can wake up in the morning, step out on my porch and enjoy the first light through the trees.
I'm also grateful that I HAVE this porch - a year ago, this house was still under construction, and I could only dream of what it would be like to live here.

Now, I sit on my porch, and gaze at the mountain, which gives me peace. But most of all, I'm thankful for this person in my life:She brightens every day, and if I lost everything and everyone else in my world? Well, she'd be enough to sustain me.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Happy thanksgiving. You have the most beautiful view from your porch.

My back yard has a lake but no mountains. We're a bit too far east but my daughter and I go out hiking and camping pretty often. I had a perfect Thanksgiving except that my two sons, one daughter in law, and new grandson are living in Seattle, a bit far for a weekend visit. My girl fills in a lot of the empty places in my life and I would be lost without her. Glad you had a good one.

Melissa - Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well!

ChrisB - I am blessed by my view...have a great holiday!

Spellbound - I know the "distance" feeling - my parents live in Southern California, so I don't get to see them much. I think I would like to have a pond at our place - that would be awesome! Glad you had a happy holiday!
