Day Five.
An exciting night. An historic election. I hope you made your voice heard, and voted. One way or the other.
We just changed history - and it's only the beginning. Now is the time for everyone to forget red and blue states, and work together to make our nation better.Congratulations, Barack.

I liked McCain's concession speech - it was very conciliatory and urged everyone to pull together and work with Obama. He got booed some for that, but he quieted the crowd and tried to emphasize that the us/them thing was over... it's just "we" now.
Amen … Blessed Be and so it is ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
In a few months, we'll find out how much of his "sweet talk" he can actually start getting accomplished.
Don't get me wrong, he got my vote...
I felt I owed it to this country to at least vote for someone who preached "Change" for the last 2 years
Tig,
I know you guys talk funny down South but, since you're a genius and all, I expect more from you.
It's a historic election, not "an" historic election.
Puhlease!
sayre - I agree. McCain's speech was extremely gracious. If he had spoken like that more during the campaign, he might have won.
storyteller - I still wonder if it's REALLY REAL.
slick - I agree - it's a tough road ahead. At least I believe his heart is in the right place.
m@ - "an historic" just rolls of my sweet Southern tongue better. Deal.
Oh my God, you're so right--you DO put "nablopomo" in the titles! I swear I didn't know that before my tirade. I wasn't talking about you, I swear!
More important than that, though--your profile says you're 40? You're too hot to be 40! I'm looking at your profile pic and I say you're about 25...and that's final!
Off topic. I cannot accept being Plurk Princess. I do not Plurk. I don't think I'd Plurk to save my life. I will consider being Halloween Candy Princess. I excel at that.
"Gimme a breal, gimme a break. Break me off a piece of that KitKat bar!"
Going through my NaBloPoMo friend list and taking those off who aren't doing NaBloPoMo this year. Been awhile since I've been over here but nice to see you're participating this year. What a great post to visit on. I'm Canadian but I'm thrilled Obama was elected!
My GOD, Virginia went Democratic for the first time since Harry Truman and we have someone running the country we can be proud to stand beside. The best thing though is that hundreds of McCain Palin banners disappeared from all the yards in my neighborhood overnight. My Obama sign is gonna sit out there and shine a few more days however.
karla - thank you, but yeah - TOTALLY 40. And I KNOW you were talking about me...sigh...
marnilicious - go back in your twitter history, and you made the statement that "Plurk was the new twitter" - implying that all the COOL people were plurking...sigh...and please come eat my leftover Halloween candy so I don't get any fatter - please?
a spot of t - I'm glad, too, or you might have had a slew of immigrants! Hope to visit you later today!
spellbound - it truly is a GREAT time to be an American...and I'm hoping the world is looking at us with renewed faith, knowing that we truly aren't the greedy warmongers we've been made out to be.
It's a long slow climb, but we need to do it together.
desert songbird - and judging from the Republican talk I have heard so far, there is every intention to do just that. I hope they are serious about it.
