NaBloPoMo Day Twenty - What I REALLY Do at Night

I know it's Monday night, and what am I doing? Two things - watching Monday Night Football, and playing Amber's PS2. One summer, I bought her a Nintendo 64, and spent 3 months beating Donkey Kong 64 and taking photos on Pokemon Snap! So, yeah, I'm still a nerd at heart. Now that Amber's television is in our bedroom temporarily, the PS2 is hooked up, and I have another addiction. Can you guess what it is?
Our neighbors have two delightful children. One is a little more delightful than the other right now, since he let us borrow Guitar Hero II. You can play it with the regular controllers, but this little gent has not one, but TWO guitars that hook into the system, for dual action play!

So, yeah - I've been playing songs like "Cherry Pie" and "John the Fisherman" to my heart's content. The only downside?
This game was NOT developed for women with long fingernails.

You mean, not everyone nerds at night? I thought everyone played handheld games, blogged, and did other goofy stuff late at night.

My boys have that on their Christmas list, LOL.

When do the tickets go on sale? ;)

Heh - my 15 yo dd is def a nerd at heart then! She has all 4 Guitar Hero games and has mastered all of them except #3 which she is currently feverishly working on beating!

Long nails and a guitar? Tres sexy!!!! How could the manufacturer not forsee this happening?

You're not a nerd, you're a kidult (not my word, the sociologists came up with tit).

I would have thought pianos and long nails didn't work too well either.

Ahh, that would be 'it' not 'tit', I guess another term would be Freudian.

Looks like fun - except for the possibility of breaking a nail! I hesitate to admit this, but I have NEVER played a PS anything.

I think I am a kidult too. We love guitar hero at our place!

She's my cherry pie...used to listen to Warrant too. :-)

Have fun. There was Guitar Hero III for sale on the Swap n' Shop at work. It was real cheap but I didn't get it because...I don't have a system to play it on. However, I think the son does...

So when are you going to put some of your musical talent online?

that guitar hero game is addictive. i'm worried about my boyfriend when he comes out here to visit; the withdrawal may be hard to watch.

desert songbird - I'm one of very few in my town - maybe I need to move?

kila - I put it on "Amber's" too - teehee! And if you really want to hear good music, listen to Roger instead!

mils - whoa - I am VERY impressed! Mine is beating me - but she's not as diligent.

real live lesbian - EXACTLY what I was thinking! AND - they have cutouts for your face when you get a massage - but HELLO! Other things get squashed, too!

willowtree - they don't, so I have them cut off if I have to play for Arkansas Songbird - then rebuilt. Kidult tit to you, too! LOL!

sandy - I started when I was a kid, with PONG...and played Tetris in college. The new games are a lot more difficult - don't feel bad!

theotherbear - I'm SO glad I'm not alone!

sirdar - I have the CD, too! And I might - if I get my nails cut down, but you'd rather hear Roger play or Amber sing - TRUST!

cadiz12 - VERY addictive. You'll just have to get your own setup - with two guitars!
