Another Fun Monday is here, and this week's hostess is Hootin' Anni. Now, her assignment involved coordination, as such:
You're to take 30 GIANT steps away from your computer - 30 GIANT STEPS - IN ANY direction. WARNING: Avoid any obstacles in the way - if there's a door...open it & continue, if there is a wall...pivot AROUND it. You may end up outdoors! After the 30 giant steps, Stop! TAKE A PHOTO AND/OR NOTE WHAT YOU'RE SEEING!! Then, take 15 baby steps back. After the 15 baby steps, Stop! TAKE A PHOTO AND/OR NOTE WHAT YOU'RE SEEING.
It's a good thing she mentioned moving around obstacles, and that it was okay to go outside. Otherwise, I would have been twirling around endlessly in our little home, too dizzy to take a photo. 30 steps led me outside, to take what may be the last Fall photo of our house, before we move:The baby steps allowed me to regain some of my balance, and notice the cat, spying on me, laughing to herself about the absurdities of human behavior. Now, go check out the other Fun Monday participants...and see if anyone else ended up outside!

That is a cute little house. And the cat is lovely as well. Happy Fun Monday!
I just realised that since you're almost ready to move to the new house, you need to find a decent agent to sell your old one.
A real Tigger habitat there. Cute little house.
What a nice house. I didn't participate this week. Next week, I'll be back at it.
Ahh....I decided to do it after all...but on Monday :-)
Cute little house, cute cat. I will be posting mine tomorrow morning, so I am not sure what time that is in your neck of the woods, heck, I don't know what time I mean to post it in our neck of the woods.
Although I love your new house, I also like this one it is really cute. I guess animals like to see what's going on I had a dog who would sit and look out of the window.
Your house is so pretty.
Love your house!
Love your house!
serina hope - thanks, I AM going to miss it.
willowtree - by law, I have to use someone at my company - bizarre, huh?
m@ - thanks. My new house is awfully ostentatious in comparison. I wonder if a Tigger would be comfy?
sirdar - Fun Mondays can be tough - I'll look for you next week!
dawn - I'll be looking for you! And I think the cute cat is giving me allergies.
chrisb - I'll have to post photos of Poo Woo looking out, too.
beccy - thanks! I LOVE the paint color.
lisa and kitten - it is precious, but way too small. I will still miss it.
That house is soooooooo quaint and 'homey'! Where are you moving? In the same town? And then, your cat...adorable. For me, cats rule!!!
oh my gosh what a gorgeous house. i love it!
That is one of the cutest houses ever!
I love the color.
I also ended up outside taking photos. My place is really small.
AWWW, your kitty is so cute. He looks like he's thinking "what is that crazy woman doing outside taking giant steps?"
Are you sad to be leaving the old house? No matter how little or much I like one place I'm always sad to leave it, though I'm at the same time excited to go.
And thanks for the cat pic!!!
Are you feeling nostalgic about your old house now? Or are you too excited to move into the new one?
I love it when my cat sits in the window. I always wave good-bye to her. She gets in every window she can no matter how high or what kind of shade is blocking her. Usually messes my shades up and unless I can get there in time to open them for her. She's my princess.
hootin anni - we are building a new home, about 3 miles from our current home. Same town, just new digs!
laurie - I'll have to take some more "farewell" photos, before we move.
sauntering soul - thank you! It is a greenish-yellowish color called "April" something-or-other...
karina - that's EXACTLY what they cat is thinking!
blue momma - Very sad, in a way - it was our first home, and we've lived there 14 years, and raised our kiddo there. Tough to leave, oddly enough.
karmyn r - I'm really feeling nostalgic, big time. The little marks on the wall, charting our kiddo's growth? I may have to take that chunk of wood with me.
junebug - Whiskas really is a good cat - even though I'm more of a dog person. However, the HAIR she leaves on our curtains...YUCK!
Your cat looks exactly like my old cat, Briton. I bought him for my 14th b-day when my parents gave me $20 and sent me to the mall. :) He lived to the ripe old age of 16.
I love the picture of your cat. He just knows you're nuts being outside when you could be snuggly warm. Great shot.
I just love that house! It looks like a dollhouse!
I love your house it is so cute. It has character! I love the color too.
What an adorable home and I LOVE the color of it!! I bet it's going to be sad leaving it, but new home and new memories I guess. I always find cats in windows a bit spooky for some reason. Especially when their eyes glow!
What a gorgeous little house. We don't have wooden houses much in the UK. And your cat is a sweetie. Hope your move goes really well.
I like your sweet Victorian house. And, kitty is darling.
-ann - WOW...that's a good long time for a cat to live! Must have been WELL-cared for. Our cat was a free stray...as is our dog. Free, except for vet bills!
sandy - yes, we call her "stove-cat" sometimes, b/c she likes to curl up in front of our gas stove, until her fur is singed.
bren - I'll post more photos, before we move out. Trust me, the curb appeal is better than the inside.
kaytabug - one of my biggest fears is that our new home won't have as much character as this one.
joy t. - Cats kinda spook me, period. It will be sad, but it is TIME.
jo beaufoix - Why few wooden houses? I'm curious!
anglophile football fanatic - thanks, and you're welcome to cat-sit, anytime!
I love your house and your cat! What a Fun Monday :)
Are you taking the cat with you? Because I'm considering moving just to confuse mine.
It may be small but that's adorable little cottage! you will love all the room you will have when you move, but I predict you will also be amazed at how much harder it is to keep up with the cleaning. :)
Cute kitty. *kisses*
I think your "old" home is really cute! Of course, I love the new home too....I think in some ways it is sad to leave the old and begin again, but you have lots of new memories to look forward to!! And a very cute kitty!
the cat was the perfect touch to your post!
Love all the fret on your house.
I see our cats have the same sense of humor.
cute little house...what can you fit like 6 of those in the new one?
and the person/people who came and took the tree....i hope their chimney clogs while they have your logs burning in it and their home fills with yucky smoke
mar - the house will be up for sale soon, but you'll have to ask my husband about the cat.
min - I know the hubby will want the cat. Me? Less fur, if we don't!
lisa's chaos - you'd be surprised how hard it is to clean this house - the dust creeps in thru all the cracks.
bermudabluez - I know, it's six of one, a half-dozen of the other. I know it's the right thing to move, but it is still sad, in a way.
janet - thank you! I was glad to see other pets, this FM.
robinella - fret? Is that, like, that cottagey gingerbread stuff?
bond - actually, the new house is exactly DOUBLE the size of this one. And yeah, I hope the tree thieves get it in the end!
Cute little house!!! If it were just me or just me and Darling Man, I would SO live there!!! I like how our cats got in on it... I think when I turned the lights on, Misha was shaking her head at the silly human.
What a cute house. Also I think your cat is cute :) I just love ginger cats. My next cat will be a ginger, I think. (I was supposed to get one last time but fell in love with a naughty tabby, who is a darling little thing.)
your cat and my daughter "laughing ... about the absurdities of human behavior"! :o)
Love your cottage....looks like it should be in a magazine :-) Can't wait to see more of your posts. Have the Best of Weeks......Rosie
sayre - yeah, our house was okay with just the two of us, and a small toddler. Now, it's too full! Our cats are mocking us.
theotherbear - I never knew until today that this was a "ginger cat!" Thanks! Our last cat was a mean tabby - I'll take this one, any day!
alisonwonderland - I guess with daughters, we just get used to the laughter!
rosie's whimsy - thanks! And if you saw the inside, you'd KNOW why it's not magazine-worthy!
oh I love your place and your kitty looks cozy too...yes my antlers get decorated every Christmas.. :)
dabooklady - great bloggers cross post! Thanks, and I'm SO glad you decorate the antlers - look forward to holiday update - "Holidays with George!"
That's a great house. Are you going to miss the older style when you move into your new one?
Your cat is adorable.
Your old house is lovely, but I have enjoyed watching you build your new home. We used to have a cat, who looked like your window sitter.
What a cute little house. The cat is giving you a look much like mine was. What is the crazy lady doing out in the rain and why is she walking so funny. Happy fun monday
Robin of mytwoblessings
the rotten correspondent - I'm TOTALLY gonna miss the old style. It's so charming. But, hopefully, central heat and air and a DISHWASHER and MORE THAN ONE BATHROOM wil help me get over it!
mjd - She is really a loving cat - a real "motorboat," with her purring. I will miss this old house.
robin - thankfully, I'm used to this look from my cat - a LOT! Must be b/c I do so many silly things.
kind of sweet goodbye in this photo.
Do you think the house knows you are leaving.
cats always leave you wondering if they are laughing
I know you're building a new home, but this is such a lovely house! It's just adorable with the turned posts and gingerbread. I even like the color. That baby should go quickly when it comes time to sell!
pamela - it knows - that's why everything is breaking. I'm going for ONE MORE Christmas in this house.
jenni - thanks! And I may wait until spring to sell - I need another photo of the azaleas in bloom.
