Friday - Something for Everyone

I have so many things on my mind today - and don't even get me started on the holidays! So, here is a menagerie of "stuff" for your amusement, in no particular order!

There is still a house in progress...but as you might imagine, little things slow us down! Painting takes a long time, even if you only use ONE porn-star-named color. It's all that trim work - and heck, I don't even have crown molding! We did finish picking out the light fixtures, so hopefully, the electrician will begin installing those next week. He has to wait for the painters to quit spraying toxins and clean up their mess:We have a septic tank and lateral lines, and they didn't tear up the yard too much, either. He is a quick peek at the beginnings of the process:Some of the countertops are installed:By looking at this photo of our partially completed kitchen cabinets, you should have some idea of our storage space. The Offspring said that once the cabinet doors were on, it was really starting to feel like a house.Speaking of The Offspring, can you pick her out of this photo? She's changed her hair since, but give it a shot anyway:And guess what I sent off today?Yup - that's my DNA kit. It came very quickly, and so I'm wondering how long it will take to get results. I'm guessing I'll know something by mid-January. I didn't get my parents' Christmas gifts packaged and sent, but you can bet I put this sucker in the mail TODAY. Where the heck are my priorities?

Yay for you! And yay and yay! I'm sure your emotions are all a tither with all going on there but yay! DNA yay! Questions answered, mind at peace.

Your house is looking wonderful! I have septic system envy - now there's a sentence I never thought I'd say!

I hope your test results are everything you want them to be.

The house looks beautiful. I can't wait to hear how the DNA thing works. It would be really exciting if you actually have relatives they can find.

The house is looking great, and that view is stunning.

Hope you get your DNA results back quickly. I'm still banking on "Greek."

BTW - The Offspring is dead center, back row. Am I right?

The house looks great!

I can't wait for the DNA results. I so want to do that.

The offspring...hmmm..don't know, but there are a couple of the girls that I can rule out if that helps.

This is really getting exciting! Won't be long now.

The Offspring wasn't too easy to find (between the two girls in the front row facing each other) because it seems that either you have been playing with photoshop, or you live in an area that's involved in cloning experimentation.

As far as I can tell there are actually only two girls in that photo, one with dark hair and one with light hair.

mark - Knowing me, I WOULD fail it! Watch - there will be 'no known origins,' proving I'm an alien.

megnificient - good to see you, and thanks for the tag! Except be warned, I take a long time to get to them...oh, and don't be jealous, just come party with us!

lisa's chaos - thanks! The votes at my office are for Mexican, Greek, Italian, Middle-Eastern an African. I'll be excited to find out SOMETHING, if I can.

sandy - thanks! I just want an answer of ANY sort...about anything. That would be enough for me.

kaycie - that WOULD be cool - I hope a lot of folks saw that Nightline episode and sent in samples.

desert songbird - I'll take Greek! And there are 14 girls on the back row - so there are technically "two" in the middle back...which one?

beckie - go ahead and rule them out! And thanks...I need to have a blogger party at the new digs.

willowtree - no photoshopping, no cloning, just remember that we live in the SOUTH! And if you helps if you look at the body types, too. Mine is always one of the more petite ones.

Seventh from the left.

She's the pretty one!

Sure will be interesting to hear the test results.

Also your house is looking fantastic.

laurie said...

i can't wait to hear what you find.

Wow, the house looks beautiful. I love your windows, and the countertop!

I hope you get some answers from the DNA kit.

ummm middle back row...crouching...left hand showing the fist..

OMG invite me to cook in that kitchen...I could go crazy...BEAUTIFUL

Italian all the way hehehehehe

My son would love to be in the middle of that picture. The one with the cheerleaders not the septic lines. Cheers!!

TAG, you're it!

Pamela said...

That septic line doesn't look as deep as our went (we had the big septic feel fiasco two years ago this coming March)

I picked her out quickly too. Some of the other poses made me laugh

funny, cuz i just popped over to see if you had done the dna thing yet.

a psychic moment obviously.

Jeanette said...

LOVE all those windows!

M@ said...

Yeah, I see Tig Jr. there. :) I like how there's one girl in the center rear who's hidden by the other girls. She's a bit shy!

Beautiful house.

Tiggerlane said...

desert songbird - correct!

theotherbear - thanks! and I'll be sure to post the results for everyone's enjoyment.

laurie - you all will be (almost) the first to know!

kila - thanks so much! and just to think I'm of the planet would be nice.

bond - glad you like it! And you are also correct. You might need to host the blogger party and cook some treats. (And I'm secretly hoping for Italian.)

matt-man - these girls are between 13-14 - how old is your son? Is he hot? Some of them could use a boyfriend, so they quit whining about not having one.

cynthia - thanks! but I am ALWAYS late with my tags - hope you are patient...

pamela - ditto! And this is the junction box - what you can't see is that it goes downhill, which is a good thing - the lateral lines were dug VERY deeply - and were to the left of this contraption. Let's hope it works out okay.

janet - pyschic, for sure!

jeanette - I know I'm an oddity, but I insisted on cramming as many windows in there as the space would allow. It was the most important part of my self-made floor plan. The guys had to mark and measure them three times until I was satisfied! (I was irritated, b/c I could have had ONE MORE, if we didn't have to leave a place for light switches!)

M@ - there are actually two partially hidden girls. Thanks - and I like the new photo...dapper!

You know I have a massively unfair advantage in that photo of Amber. I can tell you all about every single girl in it. I'm psychic like that. :)

Tiggerlane said...

memphis steve - massively unfair - so, when are you setting up your psychic network?

Kaytabug said...

I could spot Amber without even clicking to make it bigger. She is as you look at the photo to the left of the girl that looks like a bully with both fists visible and to the right of the girl that almost has her back turned to the camera.

YAY for the house!!! I am SO freakin in LOVE with those windows. I want windows like that spanning an entire wall like you do. Oh I so hope you have a blogger party...That would be cool and I would break all my damn anonymity for that. Not that there is much left.

Sweet! Such a cool DNA photo! Sitting on the edge of my seat! I don't know why I am so anxious!

Tiggerlane said...

kaytabug - I really DO want to have a blogger party - but I'm not sure I could afford to fly everyone in! I will definitely be posting my DNA results, as soon as I know something!

Kaytabug said...

I would totally drive myself there, I am maybe 4-6 hours from you. Oh and those that could make it could set up their web cams and be there via the internet. I'm sure there would be a way to figure out how to have a private webcast that only those invited could view.

The house sure is coming along. Pretty soon you'll be in it.

Is Offspring right in the middle of the back row? That's my guess.

that kitchen is stunning and my god i almost peed myself with all that storage space. nothing better than storage space.

Tiggerlane said...

kaytabug - wow! You have this all figured out! Okay - you will have to be the official party planner!

sirdar - it won't be long! And yes - she's the seventh from the left, with fist raised - ready to punch!

daily piglet - I hope I got enough - everyone seems to think I did okay! You are welcome to come pee in any of my four toilets...wouldn't want you to mess up your pants!
