How Was Your Holiday?

So, how many kids in America got this present? I'm guessing LOTS.
Or, maybe I should ask how many MOMS got this present, b/c I have spent hours playing. It is so addictive! And don't even ask me about Singstar. Good thing our family is somewhat musical, so I have a tiny excuse.

So, anyone else out there get an UglyDoll? How about a new trash can?Well, The Offspring got BOTH! I was VERY happy to get my first-EVER food processor and a new blender. And Poo Woo? He knew JUST what to do with his gift. Unfortunately, he also immediately destroyed his new squeaky ball. It lasted all of a minute and a half. As for Whiskas, her big fun came the next morning, as she pounced around in all the tissue paper from The Offspring's birthday presents:
Amber got another present - our first real snow of the year. She had been wishing for snow for days. I made Roger go take a picture of the new house:Our land to the east of our new home looked so peaceful.I hope your holidays went as wonderfully as ours did!

Pretty snow pics! We are playing Guitar Hero right now. I am SOOOO competitive and my 15 yo and I have spent the whole day trying to beat each other. So far I'm barely ahead. Who knew that game was so addicting? Sheesh. Love the Christmas pics, I don't think I've ever given a trash can as a present.

Okay, I'm off to go play the real songs on my computer while Kelsie is playing the game to screw her up. I am evil mommy. It's the game, I swear!

I think the 'son' is going to be buying Guitar Hero 3 soon. The neighbours kid has it and has been playing it over there.

It snowed today a bit. Might even have to get out the snowblower to get rid of it. Hope you enjoy your snow and glad you had a great Christmas.

I bought guitar hero III and wrapped it up and put on the gift tag "To Amanda and John from Amanda and John". I played it for hours yesterday.

simply jenn - wish I could say I had the same amount of success. I'm beating the kid on Singstar, but she's WAY past me on Guitar Hero. Sigh... Oh, and the shower curtain and shower hooks for her bathroom were a big hit, too.

sirdar - it is a MUST purchase! Go get it now! Sadly, all our snow melted. Happily, I have never used a snowblower.

theotherbear - LOL! So...have you made it to medium yet? Took me FOUR TRIES to beat that dang Tom Morello on the first battle!! AARRGGHH!! I still haven't finished the first round on easy.

when the kids are gone and the grandkids so far away, a person just doesn't keep up with the trends.
never heard of Guitar Hero

Christmas was quiet. A bit lonely, but I'll see some of them New Years.

Our Poot wasn't interested in Guitar Hero. He got some "air stick" drumsticks, which he plugs into his IPod and spends hours hitting the air around him. Maybe a picture someday. He wanted an actual drum set, but whoa.... Santa couldn't be that generous this year. But he's content with the sticks.

nothing like kids to bring out the magic of christmas. my niece and nephew (ages 4 and 7) were at christmas night, and it was fun to watch them open presents. they got SO excited, and jumped up and down.

your snow is lovely. do you love your new house? do you miss your old one?

pamela - Do I need to come visit? I'll trade the snarky 14-year old for some peace and quiet.

nekked lizard lady - that sounds like an AWESOME present! Be careful when you walk by!

laurie - I'm lovin' the new house - but I'm not in it yet. I am still spilling things on the carpet of my old house for now.

matt-man - keeps them occupied, doesn't it? Have a great New Year's!

LOL "Santa" gave our oldest GH3. It is addictive but I can't do it. I have done the tutorials and played in practice mode but I still suck!
I am just glad there is a video game that I actually enjoy listening to! It is the only one that I won't tell him to turn down!!! The snow is beautiful!

Oh, it looks like you had a fabulous Christmas!! When do you move into the new house?

Bet you can't wait to be in the best present of all - your new house! I know I'd be chompin' at the bit.

You already know about my Christmas. I'm still recovering, and the bling is at the jewelers being sized. I pick it up on the 3rd!

We bought Guitar Hero III for our music loving middle son. I didn't like it at all, and neither did the kids. (It's definately a teen toy, not appropriate for younger kids.) DH played with it a little. I told DH to return it, and he agreed.

I imagine snow is a real treat down there! We had yet ANOTHER snowstorm today! DH is out snowblowing right now.

Enjoy your new food toys!

Mine already have 1& 2, but didn't get 3 for Christmas, but got the Rock the 80's, but will probably get 3 at income tax.
Your new place does look peaceful! Send me some snow!!!!!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful 2008!

That snow is beautiful. You should tell Tig Jr. that video games are for nerds.

kaytabug - I'm STILL trying to beat Tom Morello on medium, a week later - I'm feeling depressed!

claudia - hoping for January 30th - or sooner!

desert songbird - hope you are back to feeling MUCH better soon, and you'd better post a photo of your bling!

kila - yeah, definitely a teen game. Or an adult game. Be careful in all that snow!

adam - WTF? Don't make me use WV again!

kitten - our snow is all gone - and to be honest? I'm going to get GHII as well - I actually liked the songs better.

robocop - Happy New Year to you as well! I'll be raising a glass, for sure!

shorty - sadly, ours is gone, too. That's why I had to send the hubby out ASAP to get a photo!

retrohipster - I can't wait to tell The Offspring that she wasn't the only one!

m@ - she already thinks I'm a nerd, so yeah - that will help solidify the fact!

So when the heck do you move in? It looks finished.

Food processors are like my second pair of hands in the kitchen.

Snow envy here.

Tiggerlane said...

angelina - I'm thinking by the end of January - it's all the inside work that still needs to be completed. But not much more! I still haven't used the processor - but I will brave it soon!
