100th Post!

WOW!! I actually made 100 posts in less than a year!! Hard for me to believe I had that much time to blog...

So, in honor of the 100th post, I'm actually going to "repost" one my favorite entries of the last year. Since I have new readers - I figured one or two of you would have a sassy comment or selacious theory concerning Beloved Eeyore. So, for old times' sake - here is the post:

I need your help today!!

Last night, I was puzzled by something. Eeyore.

There's a friend of ours that I playfully refer to as "Eeyore," but I won't go into details as to why. Suffice it to say, I mean this as an endearment more than anything. This is a male friend, and up until last night, I always assumed that Eeyore was a male.

So it hit me - what's up with the pink bow on the tail? Now, Eeyore never put off any "gay" vibes, as far as I was concerned, and he definitely has a masculine voice - but could I be wrong?? Is Eeyore a gender-challenged male? A donkey in drag? Or merely an old female donkey that never got rid of that two-pack-a-day habit??

Then I got to thinking, one of Eeyore's biggest problems was that his tail kept falling off. Now, I have wondered about the cruelty of sticking his tail in with a big, fat nail - but considering his difficulty in maintaining tail attachment, I assumed it was the preferred method. However, now I'm wondering, was his body merely rejecting the overly feminine tail? Was some other donkey's tail mistakenly given to Eeyore at birth??

Help me out folks. I couldn't sleep too well last night, and I'm wondering if somehow I need closure on this!

Congrats on reaching 100!!!

And um - I have NEVER in my life thought about Eeyore like that before. I had always assumed Male - Disney has A LOT of explaining to do!!!!

Happy Post-iversary!

I love Eeyore. I think that maybe Eeyore was comfortable in his sexuality did not feel threatened to wear pink bows. I think I might have to ask someone at Disneyland next week...

I often thought that the nail looked rather uncomfortable myself.

LOL!

No wonder he's so depressed. He's a female trapped in a male's body.

Now I realize the conspiracy reaches farther than I thought. First the purple, purse-carrying Teletubbie named Tinky Winky turns out to be MALE. Then I learned with shock that Blue on Blue's Clues is FEMALE. And now this. Our kids don't stand a chance - they'll all grow up to be cross-dressers.

man, I wouldn't be happy to have a a tail nailed to my butt either...especially if they insist on putting a pink bow on it! I wonder if they put the bow on it so it would be recognizable. I like the original sadder Eeyore more so than the Disney version (they even have him...gasp..Smiling!)

I confess, the nail has ALWAYS upset me.
But the pink bow I missed entirely.

I know that the authors son was a real ass, so maybe it has something to do with that.

Eeyore has a tail held up by a push pin. I think Eeyore is a depressing little donkey with no sense of time.

I never saw Eeyore with any bows that I remember, yet he (notice I assume it's a "he") has always seemed like an enigma in need of some therapy.

Maybe he is a post-op trans-sexual whose tail graft never took and what with his terrible depression and a slight unhealthy mosochistic streak...he simply tacks the damn thing back on again and again.

There may be some huge holes in that theory.

Happy 100th post day!!

Nevermind the pink bow! Have you seen his eyes??!!
He is on some serious drugs and someone should send him to a rehabilitation clinic!!

Ok, I’ve never commented on any of your bloggs before but I must here. I think everyone has missed the fact that the fag in this picture is actually not in the picture, its Christopher Robin….How many boys do you know that play with stuffed animals. Boys play with dump trucks and tractors in the mud not stuffed animals….. Give me a break Eeyore is a donkey, he can’t tie bows on his tail or ears. As for the tail falling off there is no telling what kind of sick acts Christopher Robin has forced upon poor old Eeyore…. Eeyore is completely bummed out that his owner is gay, wouldn’t you??

I have 3 boys, and all 3 enjoyed playing with stuffed animals (alongside their dinosaurs and GI Joe stuff and toy guns). They are 100% male, but they love their stuffed animals.

It looks like someone put it on him, and he just didn't have the gumption to resist.

Eeyore is a boy.

Right?

Congrats on the 100th post!

Well, I think it's even sadder b/c obviously Eeyore is not a homosexual (not that there's anything wrong with that) but that he can't afford a better ribbon. He got it second hand.

What is it w/ you? You had me tearing up about the free hugs and now this. Jesus.

Tif, honey, you had too much free time on your hands when you wrote that post. Don't worry, I'll send you my two kids. Add them to the daughter you already have and you'll never have time to lose any sleep over Eeyore again.

But really, I always figured Eeyore was male. Maybe he was just bringing sexy back....back in the day and was strong enough in his masculinity (I have no idea if that's a word) to pull off pink. Some guys can do it.
