Free Hugs!

I received this video by email a week or so ago, and forwarded it on to a few special friends. One friend was VERY moved and in turn forwarded it on to others. I had no idea how it would impact that one person - but I was pleased that he chose to share it. He sent me the responses from those recipients, and their words brought tears to my eyes. So, today, I share it with all of you.

Then again, it is doubtful that you have been living in the 'net world and HAVEN'T seen it. It appears it has become another YouTube sensation. This is a video of a man who was on the brink of abjectivity, but chose not to wallow in despair. Instead, he took action - and though it is a controversial tactic, the results were overwhelmingly positive.

You can read the story of the Free Hugs Campaign here.

I'd love that job.
I saw a man, possibly a bhuddist monk, on some tv magazine show and he was traveling the world hugging people as his mission in life.
It was a lovely thing.

I heard today that someone was hiring her/his self out to "talk' to people.
They could pay him so much per hour and he would just converse with them.

(most of us need income)

oh by the way ... Here's a free hug

I bet his first effort of "free groping" didn't go over so well....

Tigger,
This was one of the nicest things I'd seen in years. I am an old hippie, now with business appropiate hair. People think it was all stupid, stoned morons in the 60's. Nothing could be further from the truth. I spent many a night dicussing all aspects of the society till dawn. We saw a "Hole" an "openning" for those of us that wanted more than Wal-mart for all. We were not "whimps" and I had friends with black-belts. We understood National Defense, just not 3,000 miles away to defend an election we had lost.
We would find the "free groping" guys and kick their asses! Today they are called sex offenders. This did make me cry and want for what could have been, but of course, it hapened in Australia, not America, where you can't even get a courtsey way anymore!
