desert songbird - me, too! Now the old house? It could burn...
angelina - it was a bunch of brush and scrap wood from the building process, along with some busted wicker furniture. It was amazing how much we could clean off 2.5 acres!
chrisb - thanks - I was lucky to have been up early, before the snow left the trees.
anglophilefootballfanatic - it's one of my favs, the power of fire!
lisamarie - sadly, there were no hot dogs or marshmallows to be found.
jettie - thanks so much!
pamela - I am used to unexpected company - in fact, I thrive on it! As for the fire, I thought arms, too - but the "arms" look like they could be horns, and there are slitted dark eyes in the middle - with a long devilish head, see it? CREEPY.
bond - see above - that's what I saw.
m@ - this Tigger definitely has spring fever...HOT!
mimi lenox - ooh! a tag! Be warned, I am SO LAX in getting those done - but thank you!
kila - I hear ya - I am DONE with water and wind and snow for a while!
memphis steve - it's better when you have a drink in your hand!

Certainly glad it wasn't a photo of your house ON fire.
Fires still kind of scare me after having an attic fire. But it's kind of cool too- what did you burn?
Pretty snow! I'm so envious. We got some snow falling this year but none of it stuck at all.
The snow scene is beautiful.
Interesting contrast.
Both great shots.

urban thought - thank you for the compliment!
You know? I love that fire picture. The arc in the flames is awesome!
Beautiful! Bonfires are fun and the snow looks peaceful!
Humm reminds me of grilling out!! most definetly very pretty pictures!!
Tiggerlane.. that is a Currier & Ives painting. I love your view.
You're going to get a lot of unexpected company if any one sees that photo.
The fire.. now that is a flame robed wizard...arms up getting ready to throw sparks at anyone close enough to fall under his spell. Whew~!
Pamela and I saw the same thing...the wizard growing out of the fire...arms outstretched... cool
Beautiful. Two different extremes, earth wind and fire....
It's 72 degrees here today but I was wearing a winter coat last week. Weird time of year!
Spring is for mating and I wish I was a male tigger!
Lovely images....
You've been royally tagged by Mimi Queen of Memes. Have fun!

Wow, a real view from your real new porch! How amazing is that?
The second photo is prettier, but I'd rather be in the first one!
That's a beautiful view!

Creepy indeed... I love to watch bonfires and see the things there
Pretty. Why is fire so fascinating to watch? That, and your own sleeping baby?
Lovely view.
