Fun Monday Relaxing

It's FUN MONDAY TIME! And this week's hostess is Debs, and her was request was as such:
Show your favorite place to relax. It can be a chair, corner, ledge, or limb. :) Get out those cameras and take pics or just write how you feel when you are in your "zone".

My favorite place is my BED. I spend most Sunday mornings lounging around in bed with a huge cup of coffee, watching the various politicos hammer it out on the morning talk shows. But sometimes, it's a good spot to relax, b/c The Offspring likes to sneak in and cuddle:In case you are wondering, that is actually MY teddy bear in the photo. And I'm not ashamed. ONE. BIT.

When it's not a million degrees or horribly humid outside, I like to take a few moments to just sit and think in this little spot on our front porch. Amazing how just listening to birds, watching squirrels scamper about, and cursing every moron who runs the stop sign on our corner can relieve stress. In the evenings after work, sometimes I'm so exhausted that I have to take a cat nap on this little corner of the couch - while vaguely watching the nightly news:Like how I stuck that bonus shot of me in the mirror there? That took effort, lemme tell ya. The Offspring also likes to use this spot for putting on makeup - hence the presence of a mirror in my living room.

Want proof that the couch is comfy? Here ya go:Finally, here is the place I hope to be able to relax at soon. Our new deck will be where our truck is in this photo, and I expect to spend a LOT of time out there. The view alone makes me relaxed. So, guess who is hosting next Fun Monday? ME! YES!! The Neophyte who knows very little about HTML is going to try to add all the linkage correctly, not leave anyone out, and be a gracious hostess. Check back TOMORROW about your next assignment, should you agree to tackle it!

I lie in bed and watch all the politicos on Sunday morning too! We're obviously related. I love your porch so much! What a relaxing new view you have, too. I'll be back to see your fun monday assignment. I got lost on it a few weeks ago.

I could relax in bed all day if I didn't have important things to do. (like watch my kids).

Those do look like wonderful places to relax. I love your front porch rocker, but I think the spot where your new deck will be is the best. However on the deck, you might miss cursing at the morons who the run the stop sign.

TY for hosting next week. :)

I love that porch rocking chair!! I love your backyard view...very relaxing. I enjoy sitting on my Mom's front porch cussing at the idiots that blow the stop sign.

Looking forward to what your mission will be next week!

I want to roll in the green grass. That was relaxing when I was a kid.

I hope the rocking chair creaks. That's what makes them so divine.

I'm not sure if I read this right. Is that last picture a picture of your redneck sofa?

Your bed looks comfy...of course it is late and I need to go to bed so that has part to do with it!
I like your front deck.

Oooh, I totally almost posted my bed too but chickened out!
Lovely kitty! And great deck view.

I'm still deciding whether to post my bed!

I love your rocking chair on the porch, I can imagine rocking there watching the world pass by.

Love the teddy bear. I have a blanket that I HAVE to sleep with. The porch? Can I come over and sit and relax with you?

melissa - now I have two dopplegangers in the universe! Great minds relax alike.

karmyn - Roger knows that is MY time, and luckily, The Offspring is only ONE...and is fairly self-sufficient.

mjd - good news is that there is a stop sign on my new corner, too! And it just so happens to be a road the locals use to leave the bar, so we may some spectacular crashes to boot. Good thing my husband is a nurse!

debs - you're welcome! I have an easy assignment - should be up by tomorrow!

kaytabug - thanks! It will be easy and fun - I promise!

desert songbird - isn't relaxing the BEST???

pamela - it DOES creak. And you are welcome to come roll in my grass. Haven't been able to mow b/c of the rain - so maybe it would flatten it a bit.

WT - LOL! You are tooooo much.

my4kids - thanks for stopping by! It is comfy, but I'm looking foward to a king-size in the near future. The Offsprings takes up a lot of space.

theotherbear - be brave - go for it! Thanks for complimenting my gnarly cat. She is a pro at relaxation.

beccy - post that bed, girl! And the chair is nice - even better when it's raining.

I knew you were gonna post about your bed!

I didn't even think about posting my bed, which is very comfy. Great idea. The view in the last picture looks great, very serene.

Oh, I LOVE that rocker on your front porch. I want to come sit and drink coffee there.
Hey, I don't know one thing about HTML. You don't have to use HTML to add all the links. Just highlight the URL, copy, hit the link button, paste, and like magic the blog is there. I'll be back to see what you have cooking for us next week.

I love the rocking chair on the porch, perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.

I was tempted to post my bed too but I was in too much of a rush :)

I love the double rocker and the view from the soon-to-be deck.

As for next Fun Monday, remember these words from (I think) every Adam Sandler movie "You kahn do eet!"

I thought about taking a picture of my bed, but it's full of laundry at the moment!

Great spots. Love the wide rocking chair.

I'm such a klutz that I don't dare take a cup of coffee in to my bed...I'd be washing up sheets and sopping up the mattress!

Cursing at stop sign runners is definitely relaxing!!

I'm glad to find someone else also finds their bed a comfort zone. I could relax in your rocker. I bet you can't wait for for your new deck that view looks wonderfully relaxing.

Tiggerlane said...

arkansas songbird - yeah - you know my habits!

joy t. - it is serene. Maybe I should just go sit out there for a while and chill....

swampy - thanks! But if I mess up, you know who I'll be hollering at!

hannah - I almost didn't post the bed, but it was too irresistable since The Offspring was in it.

jenni - thanks for the support! And I have an easy AND fun one for everyone. TEEHEE!

jennieboo - thanks! And you know, it's the ONE thing about Monday I look forward to...being able to visit everyone throughout the day!

debbie - So I'm not the ONLY one who does the laundry folding on the bed - good to know!

susan - I'm a klutz, too - but I'm really careful with that coffee. Plus, my dog isn't allowed in the house at that hour.

robinella - damn, straight!

chrisb - the rocker is great, but I AM looking forward to the new deck...big time.

TIG: Which sky chair do you want your name on? One is reserved in your name.

Raven_Dase said...

Your couch looks soo comfy:D:D I'd go to sleep there to. :D Sunni

Tiggerlane said...

swampy - OH, WOW!! Hmmm...one that has room for a dog, too. I like dogs in my lap - even big ones. I'm relaxing, just thinking about it!

raven_dase - it's an old hand-me-down, but I think that helps the comfiness!

I love my bed too;).

Aw -- I LOVE the double wide porch rocking chair!!!!

Tiggerlane said...

tiger lamb girl - thanks! It actually fits all three of us - so, triple-wide? Maybe-even if it does creak!

I'd *love* to stay in bed all morning, read Ireland on Sunday and do the crossword in the supplement, with a bottomless cup of coffee......

As if!

Amy W said...

All of those places look unbelievably relaxing...I need a nap.

Tiggerlane said...

kila - I agree - I love to snuggle my bear, even when I'm on the couch!

steffi - the sheets are nice and smooth, too - now that I've had 400-count threads, I can only go up from there.

piglet - I just hope it stops raining long enough for us to build someday. I'm wondering if it is EVER going to end!

misslionheart - you need time for yourself - I'll sleep in extra long on Sunday, just for you.

amy w - this was a hard Fun Monday to get thru - so much relaxation, it was hard to get my work done.

You know...I ALMOST put a picture of my bed on my FM post, but I chickened out...I guess I was weirded out by some of the google searches that end up on my blog and if I started writing about my bed and how great it is, well, you do the math (lol).

You do have some cozy spots posted with the proof to back 'em up. Why does that seem so "you" to have had a perfectly framed mirror shot? You're the cutest.

And your new place...now THIS will be fun watching it come together--the before AND after pics :).

Tiggerlane said...

robin - hey - how do you think I get my sitemeter stats up?

And there won't be any after pics - unless it stops RAINING! The creek actually came across the road I have to take to access our home today - OMG! SCARY!
