A Day in the Life

This week's assignment was particularly difficult, as we were challenged by enidd "to write a post describing a typical day in your life and give us a feel for your life as a whole." I'm warning you now that there is nothing "typical" about a day in the life of Tiggerlane. Every day is wildly different from the previous one, which is wonderful.

EVERY day MUST include music. I am a musician, and so are my husband and daughter. Thank goodness music fills my home, or I would have to take long drives, just to get my fix. You can visit my MySpace page for a sampling. Current listens include favorite bands and songs from my past, such as Ninch Inch Nails, or songs introduced to me by The Offspring, like this new one from Gym Class Heroes:

I'm also a news junkie, so each morning I have to check out Robin & Company on CNN Headline News. She is so bright and funny and perky - it gets my morning off to a great start.

Most days, I go to the orifice, but usually don't spend any time in my actual office.
I also totally enjoy spending time with friends. Not a week goes by that we don't have visitors at the house, which fills it with lots of fun.

I looooooove sports. And during football season, you might as well bank on the fact that I will be watching a game, somewhere, somehow.

My beautiful mutt-dog, Lucky Loo Poo Woo, gets attention from me each day...be it a long walk, or a chase, or just crashing on the couch so I can rub his belly.

I get about 150 - 200 emails a day, and NO...most of them are NOT spam. Sometimes, I find myself laughing my tail off at something like this (if you're a PETA member, please don't watch. And don't comment me with nastiness):

I also contribute a lot of time and energy to my Rotary District, and to my local Rotary club. I am extremely passionate about this part of my life, because I have been blessed with so much that I feel an incredible obligation to give to others.

The best part of every day? The time I get to spend with Roger and Amber. Our relationship is so important to me - I often wonder if I would make it without them.
Each day usually ends with me being totally exhausted, which is fine by me. It means I have accomplished something, which gives me great satisfaction.

You're a really nice lady except that you like football. That's your only drawback.

Is that a family portrait or an album cover? I can't tell.

Life without music? I don't think so :)

Oh those pesky squirrel. (down deep inside I hope he was okay, though)

We are football fans here, and Karmyn has tried to get us interested in fantasy football, but I haven't taken that step. Maybe next year.

200 Email? That is amazing.

Ahh, a fellow news junkie! Yay! My husband is right there with you on the music thing. His tunes follow him everywhere!

That's a gorgeous family portrait! I'm jealous - we have to get around to taking one of those....

Okay - I can't say anything except "Poor Squirrel".

oh - and "YEAH FOOTBALL!!!!!!"

matt - I'm insulted that you called me a lady. And the dog photo is the album cover.

pamela - oddly enough, I'm not into fantasy football. And I secretly didn't want the squirrel to get clocked, but I've watched the hubby shoot them out of trees here - which seems more cruel.

melissa - News and music ROCK! And I think the photo you have on your profile kicks butt.

karmyn - I'm trying so hard not to suffer withdrawals.

kila -- missed you there! It's one thing I would HAVE to have on a deserted island, or I would drive everyone crazy by singing and whistling!

Music, sports, dog love, family love - it doesn't get any better than that, does it?

Actually, I think it's a beautiful album cover. Awesome.

Not having a "typical" day is the best way to live life, if we can.

Great, great photo of you and your family. Just beautiful! And the videos are much better than the one I just posted about me doing my taxes. :)

I love the family photo.

That's a lot of e-mails.

desert songbird - I would have to add chocolate. Totally forgot about the chocolate!

matt - the Poo Woo, or the family?

beccy - thanks! We will have to have another one done, since I've lost about 20 pounds since that photo was taken.

enidd - and thanks for being a great hostess! Now I have to go back and find out who you tagged...

matt-man - dude, you always make me laugh - have fun in DC! We'll pass each other like strangers in the airport!

dan - I'm not brave enough to make my own videos. But then, I can't do yoga poses on my head like you...I'm SHAMED!

angelina - for the first time, I'm seriously going to have an "out of office" reply during my vacation, so the backlog doesn't make my head spin when I return.
