Fun Monday ELATION!

Oh YES! Robin over at Pensieve is this week's hostess, and her topic is SHOES! I am a bona fide shoe maven, and I didn't even take her suggestion that we show shoes that belong to other family members (even though The Offspring has some awesome ones). I can only show you a quarter of my own collection...so to heck with theirs! My latest acquisition are these not-expensive heels that will look FABULOUS the next time I hit the dance floor:Before you think I'm nuts, I actually CAN dance in heels. Better than in flats - just ask any of my friends who have gone dancing with me. I know some people who can't even walk in these shoes. Next are some of the most comfortable heels I own. I save them for semi-dressy events, as they're not the fanciest:Before you think I don't have any "normal" shoes, check out these Merrell sandals I bought in D.C.:Merrell makes some of the most comfy styles that I've ever put on my tootsies - I have three other pair of Merrells in my closet. The ones above have been on my feet the most lately, since wearing heels to our new house site is kinda silly. Next, are the second most comfortable pair of heels I own, the patent leather Gianni Bini's:I LOVE this brand, and can't find these in the 4-inch heel versions anymore. Had I known that, I would have bought three pair of these:I can't wear these anymore, seeing as I've beat the heck out of them, wearing them to work, dancing in them, and tromping all over the place. They were AWESOME, and so easy to take on and off, with that little zipper in the back. To replace them, I found these Bandolinos in D.C.:Not as comfortable, but still a decent-looking shoe. Now for my DRESSY heels, which I wear with some of my formal gowns:Kudos to Baby Phat! I love the little sparkly cat logo that dangles from the strap. And yes, I do have some shoes that are more casual heels, like these Kenneth Cole's, for instance:OH! and did we talk BOOTS? Here are my beige suedes...Which I also own in chocolate brown:And GUESS? who made these wonders? The style is "Carrie." "Sex and the City," anyone?Lest you think I'm some sort of heel-addict, here are the Merrells I kick around in, when I just relax on the weekend:Comfiest shoes EVAH. Okay - that's already too many shoes from one girl. Go over to Robin's, and check out the other Fun Monday participants! I'm off on a spree!

Wow - those are a lot of heels!!! I have a lot of shoes - but only 2 pairs with heels. I've never been able to walk in them.

I like the chocolate brown suede boots!

This is as about as enthusiastic as I've ever seen for for Fun Monday! Yep they're shoes alright. And lots of them...

My, my Tigger, you do have a few pairs of shoes. My favorites are the very first pair. The peep-toe shoes will look fabulous on the dance floor.

Your feet are like the wind that comes from Charlie's fingertips.

Please get in contact with me.

I have a lot of heels, too, but I can't do spike heels. I gotta have them a bit chunkier. I can't believe you have formal gowns, though - wow! I would NEVER have occasion to wear anything like that.

Matt-Man's gonna have a field day when he sees this post, as would Bond. Someone catch them before they fall...

Tigger,

I'm hosting the next Fun Monday. It'll be underwear day.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

I almost passed out because I thought those were Manolos. You can't do that to me! My husband's at work! Who will take me to the ER when I'm dying from possible SATC shoe exposure?

We're totally getting married so I can wear all of your shoes.

Kila said...

Somehow I'm not at all surprised by your collection! I can totally picture you dancing in heels. You rock!

omg, if you can really walk in those heels, i will be very impressed. i'm strictly a flats girl. but i am lusting after your chocolate brown boots.....

One word....sexy shoes!! Oops, that's two words. So I can't count either....great Fun Monday.

Beccy said...

I wish I could dance in heels, I got six bruises the last time I tried and not it wasn't to do with the large amount of alcohol I consumed...it was definitely the heels!

Tiggerlane said...

karmyn r - all it takes is a little practice to walk in them! I expect you to start NOW!

willowtree - If there is a Fun Monday about football, you'll see the same enthusiasm.

mjd - I have yet to try them out - but I'm looking forward to the chance!

ian - you are supposed to be looking at the SHOES.

desert songbird - I'll let you alert Matt-man and Bond to the post, so they don't miss out. And formal gowns? I usually get to wear them only twice a year - wish it were more often.

m@ - and for those of us who don't wear underwear? J/K!

melissa - I don't have money for Manolos...yet...but you can wear my shoes, anytime, dear - but I'll bet you have tiny feet.

kila - thanks! Just don't picture me flailing too much - or falling.

janet - you may lust, but don't touch! And I can even run in those heels - I've become so used to it, it's like second nature.

hootin' anni - thanks! I can't wait to go blog hopping this morning.

beccy - somehow, I'm not sure whether or not to believe you...

HEELS Rule!!!! Love your shoes and boots! :)

Schmoop said...

The heels are sexy, but the boots? Oh my Lordy, cant we see you with them on? Yum-Oh!!

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

Songbird clued me in to this post....I am a certified leg/ankle/calve man and WOOOOOOOOOOO

LOVE the peep-toes...very hot...and the ankle straps...my favs! Also like the boots, but then I can't see your calves and ankles...

OH MY....it got warm in here all of a sudden!

Kaytabug said...

HEll ya! We are tied!!! I am glad I'm not the only one that went overboard! I wanted to post more but forgot a few and I wanted to do a few of my lil guys too! Oh well!

I like all of your heels! What kind of dancin' do you do? Ballroom? I would wear them more often if I wasn't already so darn tall and if I was without lil kiddos...not practical!

Jodi said...

How on earth do you walk in those spikey heels?!?!? Give me the Merrells anyday! ;-)

raffi said...

nice shoes, tigger. however, after reading the comments from the male readers, i think it's safe to say you've incited a riot. if you tag this post with "foot fetish" i think your comments will surpass one million easily :)

I just knew you'd have some neat, and pretty shoes!

Wow, I don't know if I should bow or not. You have lots of heels and they are so high, and you can do things like dance and walk in them. I am honoured to be in your blog presence. They are all so beautiful, and I didn't know when I saw them in the store that real people can and do wear them. I guess I am getting old. You have a wonderful array of beautiful footwear.

Anonymous said...

Wowee, my feet just hurt looking at those shoes. (But yet I'm secretly jealous that you can wear such awesome high heels.)

Anonymous said...

Those are some awesome heels. I love high heels. The black strappy ones and the first ones with the peek a boo toes are my favorite. I used to be able to dance the night away in heels too, but I haven't completely traded my heels in for flip flops, I still have a couple pairs.
Love the color of the boots too.

My Monday post will be up tomorrow, I had some techie difficulties last night with my internet.

Tiggerlane said...

robinella - I take donations, too! I'm not picky!

debs - thanks! Wish I had space to show off my entire collection.

matt-man - I'll bet you want to see me in a mini-skirt to show off those boots, huh?

bond - Well, I knew that there would be some ankle-lovers out there...I had to refrain from taking a TON of photos...b/c it would drive people like you insane.

kaytabug - Glad to have a shoe buddy! Not ballroom - mostly clubbing...but I go with older friends so I don't look like the fool.

jodi - practice, dear - lots of practice!

raffi - I seem to get a few crazies along the way - I can't avoid them, so now I'm in REAL trouble. Can I call you in for backup when I need someone vaporized?

lisa's chaos - Thanks! And you know me well.

dawn - you don't need to bow. As a short 5'3" girl, I NEED the heels just to be normal-sized! I'm sure I could still use some fashion lessons...so more shoe-shopping for me!

nikki - some heels are comfy, believe it or not! The trick is to buy at LEAST a half-size larger than you normally wear, to account for swelling.

Tiggerlane said...

christine - I can't WAIT to see your post! I have you on my list to catch up on.

Kaytabug said...

Oh my! I looked more closely and I could never walk in the slim high heel let alone dance! I have one pair and it is for short time wear the shorter the better! I am a tad jealous now...I wish I could wear heels more...Thanks for the tip on a half size bigger no wonder all the ones I do have but didn't show hurt so badly. The shoes in my original post are the most worn out of my collection and the rest well pales in comparison to yours and the amount as well! I'm feeling better about my so called addiction!

Beckie said...

OMG, I would kill myself trying to get to the front door in those heels! They are all very nice - I am just a klutz!

Anonymous said...

I'm too clutzy for heels. And, I wish I could wear them as I stand all of five feet two. I'm glad someone can pull them off. I love your Baby Phats.

ChrisB said...

'fraid I'm one of those who can't even walk in high heels let alone dance in them!! I'm more a merrell person and I've seen a couple of pairs today that I really like so I will be on the lookout for some.

Anonymous said...

My feet hurt just looking at all of those heels. I love them, but Mommy just doesn't have anywhere to wear them to these days!

Travis Cody said...

Songbird and Bond told me about this. I almost THUMPED at work.

Like Bond, I appreciate the well turned ankle in an attractive shoe.

And don't get me started on the boots. Yikes!

Pamela said...

You are like Ginger Rogers. Remember she could do everything Fred Astaire did ... backwards and in heels.

(I wore shoes like that ... sigh... quote the raven "never more")

Robocop said...

Nice boots.

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

OH PLEASE drive me insane.....

bwahahahahahaha

and you are a Taylor FAN!

OH MY the perfect woman!

Tiggerlane said...

kaytabug - I still say, it is all in the practice! And most women buy shoes that are NOT the correct size for them, same goes for bras. There is NO shame in a shoe addiction!

beckie - you are too funny! Practice makes perfect, I say. I am a klutz, too, but believe it or not, I can still walk in these suckers when I'm tipsy!

anglophile - thanks - and Kimora Lee Simmons thanks you, too!

chrisb - Julie (Another Chance Ranch) said it best - they are the most comfortable shoes EVAH.

blue momma - do you and I need to go on a road trip?

travis - Welcome, virgin! And thank you for the appreciation. Your wolfie eyes are kinda haunting.

pamela - never say "never!" I always liked that quote by Ginger - CLASSIC!

robocop - And to think, you didn't even see my black ones.

bond - did I mention I'm a football fan, too? :-)

alisonwonderland said...

great post! i'm definitely smiling!

i am one of those people who don't do heels. i can't imagine even standing up in most of your shoes, let alone walking or, god forbid, dancing! :)

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

If you tell me you like baseball we will have to marry!

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

and I can offer help on your header also....Just send an email

Tiggerlane said...

alisonwonderland - you can always just put them on your feet, and lounge seductively on the couch!

bond - Saw the White Sox play in Chicago the year they won the World Series - freaking AWESOME! And you are a sweetie for offering to help me out!

Occidental Girl said...

You have pretty shoes! I know what you mean about being able to dance in heels. Some of them, anyway, are surprisingly nimble to dance in.

Tiggerlane said...

occidental girl - THANK YOU for making me feel less crazy! I was beginning to think I was the only girl on the planet who could dance in heels! You rock on, girl!

raffi said...

anytime :)

Anonymous said...

I'm reallllly loving your gianni shoes!! All your heels in fact....pointy toes (LOVE them!) - beauts. Your shoes say a lot about you, Tigger;). And that's a good thing!

Anonymous said...

And, uh, I can dance in heels too. (they might hurt, but I can do it baby!)

karisma said...

While I have to admit the second pair look really sexy! Im sorry but feet are made for dancing, not heels. Give me bare feet anyday! I think I gave up heels about three kids ago.

You would get along famously with my oldest daughter, she has a shoe fetish too! But then theres always those handbags too!

Tut Tut Watch those veins!

Tiggerlane said...

raffi - I'll tell ya when to load up and come savage the crazies.

tiger lamb girl - thank you! Sounds like we need to have a blogger dancing party!

karisma - there ARE benefits to having only one kid...and I don't get to go dancing as often as I'd like, so maybe my veins will hold. Especially since I sit on my butt a lot on the weekends and watch football!

piglet said...

those are all gorgeous shoes!!!

Tiggerlane said...

piglet - thanks! You can borrow them, anytime.

WHERE'S MY SHOE COMMENT? I just remembered I hadn't checked back to see your reply (cause you always do), and it's not here...I KNOW I LEFT ONE! I REMEMBER YOUR SHOES!!!

Am I losing my mind???

You've got sexy feet, daggum it, I'm totally flustered now :/.

Tiggerlane said...

Girl - leave me some extra shoe comments. I'm a whore that way.
