Neophyte Whining

As you may have noticed, there have been some changes at the Neophyte's Lair. Most are blogger-induced, since I made the "big leap." Unlike the crowd who defected to typepad, I decided to stay with blogger. The change was okay - but I lost some of my hard-earned HTML coding. You have NO CLUE how long it took me to get the site looking like what you see here! I am an idiot when it comes to this web stuff.

The good news is that blogger is easier than ever. Photos upload faster, links are MUCH easier to add, post options are better, etc. Its functionality has made me feel more confident, and less like the computerland equivalent of Ree's retarded brother.

While you suffer thru my growing pains, check out this spoiled brat:

Okay, I was being mean and hateful, judging this poor little girl. Calling her names. After all, we never know the whole story, do we? It may LOOK like she lives in a mansion, and it may LOOK like she has everything she could possibly want, but we really don't know. So in order to be fair, I found her defense posted online. Watch, and make your own judgment. Just click on the video that says "I'm not a spoiled brat."

I'm going to be the last blog to switch. I have special needs. I cannot manage stuff like this on my own.

that Utube stuff has got to be staged. I can't believe there are spoiled airheads out there like that. No way -

Puhleeze - she doesn't own anything red? How about your butt after I take a paddle to it.

Hey - thanks for adding me to your side bar! I feel so privileged...

This chick is so utterly despicable; I have no words to describe my disgust. If she doesn't want her red car that so totally clashes with her blue stuff, I know a worthy charity in AZ where she can donate it...

either spoiled brat, or staged.

Either way she got us to watch her.
Gee. I feel punked

You'll have to let me know what to expect, because I'm staying with Blogger, too. They haven't let me switch my site over yet, because apparently it has "too many posts/comments?" I find that hard to believe, but whatever. I try every day, and keep getting rejected.

Congratulations on getting it done! I haven't yet. (Afraid something will go horribly wrong and I'll lose everything I've typed.) Guess I should just DO IT. If it goofs up I still won't whine as much as that girl did, good grief!

And that MacKenzie thing has just GOT to be fake. Doesn't it? Please?

Didn't watch it. Hey congrats on the move, I like the new look. Yeah you do lose a lot of control over how you blog looks, even more if you went to TP.

You should be thanking all us guys who jumped ship, it's only with the decreased load that Blogger can continue to struggle on.

Oh, btw, you haven't changed my blog name in the sidebar. Why is this important? Well mainly because when you do I'll go from last on the list to first;) But then you might like me last, and that's ok too.

Geez, my first car wasn't even all the same color because my older brother wrecked it before letting me have it. And it was 15 years old.

Willowtree---DONE!

And as far as the YouTube thing? I'm wondering if she's another lonelygirl15, you know??

Seriously, my dad would NOT have been so nice. He would have kicked my ass.

I like your new look. I'm so impressed that you know how to do this. I have friends like DubYaT, Pam, and Julie who have given so much advice, but I still don't know what I'm doing.
The video HAS to be staged. Either way, I watched, I'm punked.

That's bullshit b/c it's not like color changes the price of the car.

If she wanted blue, she should get blue. What a lousy dad!

I like your new look!! Didn't watch the video though.

Because the world stops turning if your car doesn't match your fricken eyes. My first car was a 1978 Mustang II with rust and had to have one foot on the gas at all times not to stall.

McKenzie needs to be whapped upside the head.

I like the new look! You are doing a great job! I didn't watch the video. I just wanted to leave a comment and then go lay down. I am fighting the Flu and it seems to be winning right now.

I like the new colors!!
As for the car...hell, if she doesn't want it, I'll take it!!!

I don't for one minute believe the video is staged. That teen felt that to be seen in such a car would have caused utter and complete embarrassment in her clique, and she might as well just drop out of school right now. And I'm betting she made it clear from the start she wanted a BLUE car.

This is the way many girls are - this is no "rich kids" phenomenon. Granted for most of them the issue is a certain pair of shoes or a certain book bag, and not a sports car, but the issue is VERY real.

In "teen world," you aren't who you are, you're who your friends say you are. And if your friends say, "Don't drive a red car," you don't. Is it right? Of course not. Is it popular? You bet it is.
