Fun Monday Song (and Video)

I can't believe I'm still doing Fun Monday, in the middle of packing and moving, but with Crown Princess as the hostess giving us this GREAT topic, how could I resist?

Her challenge: I want to hear the ONE song that is you. The song that whenever it is heard, you smile. I am not looking for the soundtrack of your life, just that one song.

You might not be familiar with the Swedish artist, Bosson - but if you've ever seen "Miss Congeniality," then you've heard his song, "One in a Million." But the song I've chosen is called "We Live," and the first time I heard it, I was hooked. I felt as if it embodied my whole philosophy, as well as a pop song can. And I love the beat, the tune, and it makes me want to dance. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that Bosson is HAWT.

I pulled this CD out again, right after 9/11, to help me remember the message. I won't bore you with all the lyrics, but here is a sample:

"We live, and we die...and we learn to find the things we live and die for...
And the time that we have inside it keeps on ticking, till the end.
So it's time that we live our lives and celebrating..."

I try to live my life like this - and no matter how often I hear this song, it DOES make me smile. Now go over and visit the other participants!

I have never heard that song, but listening to it, I smiled. Thanks!

I'm working on this post now. I just can NOT narrow it down to one song. This is helpful though. I'd not heard the song before. It's a little too pop for me but not bad and that is one very pretty man there:o)

Oh, and since you mentioned Miss Congeniality, I have to say you've always reminded me of Sandra Bullock. She's one of my favorite actresses--very pretty, talented gal, but also very *real*. KWIM?

I can't say that I know this song but with such poignant words I can see why you like it.

I had not heard that song. I like the lyrics, and you are right Bosson is easy on the eyes. Your post is my first Fun Monday visit. I can tell this one is going to be enjoyable.

I don't think I've heard this song before, but I really like it! Life is way too short to be doing things we don't want to be doing.

Good song, but what a crappy video! What's with the deep stares into the camera and the Liza Minnelli arm movements!

celeste - glad it made you smile! It makes me do the same.

jenni - yeah, this was really tough - and now I've thought of a million songs that would have been better - but not with as pretty a man in them! And thanks for the compliment - I think Sandra is so cute!

chrisb - I like to think it's sorta deep - but then again, not any deeper than my fun-loving personality!

mjd - I like his looks, too - I am finally getting a chance to visit the participants - this is such a great topic!

sauntering soul - glad you like it - I hope to discover some new ones, too.

serina hope - glad you enjoyed it!

mariposa - happy Fun Monday! I hope you find lots of new ones...I think I will!

crown princess - thanks for hosting! This topic was way too important to miss!

ellen b - thanks! I love the beat, too - makes me want to dance.

yummy - thanks! Can't wait to visit the participants.

karisma - seems like a new one to lots of folks!

shorty - glad you liked it - had you heard it before?

lana g. - I'm assuming you've heard it? I also can't get tired of the video...

junebug - the "one in a million" is a better quality song in some ways, but Bosson looks more like Jimmy Fallon in the video.

-ann - glad you liked it! I can't wait to discover more music today!

my4kids - thanks!

joy t. - I can't wait to check out all the music, either - I am too busy working - but hope to get a break soon.

jettie - too true - and I hope to make the most of it!

sarah - there were water balloons? Oh, yeah - too busy looking at the man, I hardly noticed!

aoj & the lurchers - there were so many - but this one has been a favorite for years.

bren - glad you enjoyed it!

peter - I didn't figure you were one for the man candy, either.

melanie - I totally agree!

ari_1965 - this actually wasn't the original video - the original was even worse. But he's still cute! He can flail all he wants around me...

the bloggess - glad you liked it!

kaytabug - nothin' wrong with a little eye candy, is there?

robocop - so am I, and I have to keep reminding myself of my priorities...

robin - yeah - he actually looks like Leo DiCaprio in some of his other videos. This was 8 years ago - when he was more baby-faced.

hootin' anni - especially, I think, for a pop song.

lord tennisanyone - I totally LOVE the Cure! But "Close to Me" is my inner-Snoopy-Cure song...
