Fun Monday is Tiggerless

I can't believe I'm not participating in Fun Monday this week.

I also can't believe that I got a toothache, illness and "Mother Nature's Reminder of My Womanhood", all in the week before I'm supposed to move.

OH...yes...did I mention that I'm moving? Tomorrow. Starting at 8:00AM. Mind you, we have been moving stuff for WEEKS into that new house...which means both of our homes "don't feel right." Like, one is halfway destroyed - while the other is stacked with boxes.

The Offspring is leaving for a conference first thing tomorrow, giving me an opportunity to pack her GOOD stuff and get rid of her CRAP without interference.

Thank you all for your well wishes. I am somewhat better - at least well enough that the movers won't have to move a bed with someone still on it.

I will not be at my orifice (which has a reliable internet connection) for the next three days, nor will I have an internet connection at the new house immediately. Well, I scheduled it for "immediately," but we all know how that goes.

I promise to finish my memes, my award-thank-you's, my tags, and photos of the new house. I will most surely be updating you by the end of the week.

And please pray for my husband - this process is about all that his Virgo nature can take.

Good luck with the move. But that crap you're planning on throwing out? The stuff your child hasn't seen, used, wanted, or thought of in a decade? She want it just as soon as you toss it and you will have destroyed her life...forever!

Having said that, I would toss, toss, toss.

Hope the move goes smoothly and you have decent weather for it.

Oh Tigg, good luck! I hate moving, but I'm not organized enough. I can't wait to see pics of your new house.

I'm glad you're feeling better! Golden Boy contracted the Flu of the Year, too! His turned in to pneumonia - I thought he'd never stop coughing!

I don't envy your moving process - every time we move I swear I'll never do it again.

Hope this little note finds you feeling better.
You may have already read this book, or at least heard about it. When I saw it at the bookstore, I thought about you. I've not read the book, only a synopsis of it...Kim Sunee was 3 years old when her mother took her to a crowded marketplace and left her on a bench with only a fistful of food...

"Trail of Crumbs"...Kim Sunee

It may not be anything that interests you, but just know I thought about you when I bought the book. K :)

Good luck with the move. It can be so stressful, but so worth it in the end. Just take the unpacking slow, and know it will get done.

Love your idea of tossing, when your teen is out. I do the same thing with my girls, and they never miss the junk I trash or take to work to give to one of my students. Out of site out of mind.

Don't over do it!

Moving is awesome! Well not so much the actual physical part, that totally sucks, I meant the adventure part. You get to share all of the "firsts' for a while. That's fun.

Good luck with everything! A fresh start, how wonderful that will be :)

I can't wait until you get moved completely and give us photos. I hope everything goes smoothly.

sandy - good advice - and I got rid of EIGHT trash bags in two hours. And still have half her room to toss/pack!

claudia - things have calmed down for me somewhat - I am starting to return to normal stress levels.

m@ - true - think of what a beeyoch I would be THEN.

chrisb - it did, thank you - and it was a bright, sunny day for it!

desert songbird - nothing broken, so that's good - still have some "stuff" to go thru at the old house, but nothing major.

bond - she hasn't missed anything YET...but I still have half of her room to "toss."

musickm - you are welcome to stop by, anytime! We are somewhat settled, and the move wasn't as bad as I imagined. Still not sure how I do what I do for a living - putting people thru all the STRESS!

simply jenn - I found out that I'm not organized AT ALL. But plan to make a fresh start. And STAY organized.

bs - thanks so much - I felt absent, for sure!

lisa marie - bigger yippee now that it's done!

alison - it will feel better when it is all done and photos are on the walls.

bermudabluez - thanks so much! And photos are coming soon - thankfully, not much blood was shed in the whole process!

susaninva - poor kiddo! I have finally stopped coughing - and I don't plan to move for a LONG time, either!

aoj & the lurchers - thank you!

EVERYONE ELSE - I'll be responding a wee bit later!

swampy - thanks for the suggestion - I'm interested to hear how the book is! I will have to order it, just to check it out - a fistful of food - how SAD...

tracey - upright, and managed to get thru it all. Both of us are Virgos, so yeah - it was an interesting move!

eileen - thanks for the good advice! The kid hasn't missed anything yet - and yes, I have to SLOW DOWN and realize that I have lots of time to unpack and get organized...hard for me to do!

kaytabug - thanks so much - your thoughts must have helped, b/c we didn't kill each other or pass out from exhaustion!

karisma - LOL! I had almost forgotten! Yeah - looks awesome in the front yard - DIVASTATING!

the rotten correspondent - thanks - and YES! Somehow, I don't think I would have made it without all of your good vibes, sent across the blogosphere!

pamela - we are doing MUCH better - and the only well that is running dry is the money well, but God willing, it will fill again.

homo escapeons - you are so right - it's nice that there is no one else's dirt in the new home, too!

kila - thanks! And it is nice - I keep wondering when someone is going to kick us out, b/c it doesn't seem real yet!

junebug - everything isn't moved yet, but photos will be coming by tomorrow, most likely!
