What's in a Day?

I recently stole the idea from this post from MJ, and even though I find the results to be quite accurate - I am troubled. Why? Well, here's a secret: I don't really know my birthday.

It probably should be the subject of a much-longer post, but I'll spare you, and give you the nutshell version. I was found by a gas station attendant on September 10, 1968, in the station's restroom. It was estimated that I was about 4 to 5 days old. I was "clothed appropriately" - according to the "non-identifying information" supplied by my adoption agency. (What? Does that mean I had a shirt on that said "Find me!" or "Take me to your leader?")

Okay - don't feel all sorry for me - I'm TOTALLY okay with my abandonment/adoption deal. BUT...every time I see one of these birthday things - I worry about the accuracy. I'm supposedly a Virgo, and I DO have a lot of those traits. But like Songbird, I have many traits of a Leo. Further complicating matters is the fact that the Emergency Room doctors at the time used my weight to help determine my approximate date of birth. I was 5 pounds, 6 ounces. My daughter was 5 pounds, 10 ounces when she was born - so how can you tell by weight? Maybe I was just a little sprout, like her.

At any rate - here are MY results. And once again, I think most of my friends and family would agree that they are pretty dead-on.

Your Birthdate: September 5

You have many talents, and you are great at sharing those talents with others.
Most people would be jealous of your clever intellect, but you're just too likeable to elicit jealousy.
Progressive and original, you're usually thinking up cutting edge ideas.
Quick witted and fast thinking, you have difficulty finding new challenges.

Your strength: Your superhuman brainpower

Your weakness: Your susceptibility to boredom

Your power color: Tangerine

Your power symbol: Ace

Your power month: May

What an amazing story! You never found out who left you there? I would want to know WHY on earth someone felt like they had to do that! I would imagine, however, that this experience has made you a wonderful, caring and nurturing mother. WOW. I am at a loss for words.

Happy Belated Birthday.

Wow, what a story! Amazing really. I can't even begin to imagine what that feels like... not to know your birthday. I would kind of attribute the day you were found to be your birthday, even though you were a few days old.

I am sitting here with my chin dangling. I feel like I need to ((hug)) you. If you ever write more about your success story, please let me know because I don't make it to every blog I like everyday. Happy Happy Day EVERYDAY.

P.S. "Find me" or "Take me to your leader." What a wonderful attitude you have about this.

Wow. I agree, you could write a book about it. How amazing that you are so ok about it. Hopfully you had good parents that raised you.

I think you should post a story about your panic attack while you were pregnant with The Child. If you don't, I will because that is one of my absolute favorite stories to tell on you!!!

Holy crap!!

I was found by a gas station attendant on September 10, 1968, in the station's restroom. Now there's a sentence I never expected to read. I'd like to vote with the others for an expanded story.

Can I ask you a favour? If you do write it, could you drop by and let me know, I really would hate to miss it.

Oh yeah Tigger, I'm a Leo/Virgo cuspan too. I've had my natal chart plotted many times and the Sun was less than 2 degrees into Virgo when I was born. The waters are muddied even more by the fact I have a Gemini ascendant.

Okay, folks...due to recent demand, I'll have to tell MORE of the story.

It's fairly involved, so I'll have to think of where to start. Hopefully, I'll have a scanner by Monday; looking at photos of me as a baby would definitely explain more of what Songbird is referring to!

Wow, that is some story! Can't wait to read the rest.

Yeah!! So glad you are going to tell more of the story. I was going to say, "Where is Paul Harvey when you need him?" HA!!

I have to agree with everyone else, your attitude towards this is amazing. What an amazing family you must have. I think adoptive parents are very special people.

Looking forward to your story!

Oh my goodness gracious. I can't believe that. I don't understand how anyone could do such a thing to a baby. I'm going to read more now since you said you would share with us.
I came here from Julie and just wow. I was wondering how a birthday chart thing could be so wow, but wow!
