Dear Lord, Please Forgive Me

Okay, you know I'm a music lover. Though in the past, I've tried to turn my readers on to current finds, such as Jamie Cullum, Blue October, or even the recent more-commercial offerings of Linkin Park. But guys, this was too hella-good to NOT share. Or hella-bad.

I know in advance this is going to pain you - but as much as it hurts, please stay with this, until the 3-minute mark.

Wow. I have only one other word - enunciation!

Wow.

I tried to listen to the 3:00 min. mark but it quit after 1:50? Was there more? Did it get remarkably better? Did a miracle happen?

Was he drunk? Holy hell that was BAD.

Tiff - have you ever heard this? I mean, it's technically a holiday song, and it makes my ears bleed, but every year, I...must...listen.... ;)

Matty boy put you up to this, didn't he? Have you been into his stash of WIR?

Dude! Lyric sheet! At the very least, use a frickin' lyric sheet!

Ok, I'm back and I listened to it all. Oh, did it get better! I wonder why that was taped? Surely not for entertainment?

It kept cutting out on me but I heard enough in the first couple of minutes!!

sandy - I have another word: alcohol.

junebug - I tested it again, it worked fine for me - maybe try a reload? Let's just say, it gets more "intense."

beckie - that's my guess. Either that or drugs!

melissa - OMG...you are the best blogging buddy EVER. I will have to torture many a friend with that! That was HYSTERICAL!

desert songbird - actually, one of my coworkers was listening to it, and I heard it upstairs in my office and came running down to see if there was a cat in heat in the office!

junebug - I don't know...but it was for OUR entertainment, surely!

chrisb - unless you get to the end - you are truly missing greatness. Then again, you should also check out melissa's link...even better!

Wow, to "lead" a song, and not even know the words!

Standing next to him, I could've been a damn good singer, LOL.

Kila said...

OMG, Melissa, that was hilarious!

Something told me deep down in my pencil soul that he was going to "sing" Amazing Grace. And then it didn't happen.

The Almighty must be turning over in glory as we speak. I know my breakfast is turning in my stomach. Oh my God (and I say that with the greatest respect) - this cannot be classified as a joyful noise. I tried.
Really I did.

Are you sure this wasn't an American Idol audition?

P.S. I came over here to tag you with a meme and found this atrocity. On a Sunday morning.
I need to go to church now.
See ya.

Mimi Lenox said...

I was so upset I forgot to tag you.
(You planned it that way, didn't you?)

No Autographs, Please

Tiggerlane - I have linked to this post today as "punishment" for those who don't finish their memes.

Oh my... my ears began to bleed immediately after he began, I cried a few seconds later, fell off the couch at about 2:00 - but I listened till the 3:00 mark. That´s true punishment!

I love video of racially-ethnically different "folks" doing stupid things. Nicely done.

That made me laugh my head off. I am in the office and so very glad I listened to it through headphones. Hahahahahaha.

simply jenn - I aim to please.

kila - I love how the audience tries to help him. And dang, melissa TOTALLY outdid me!

matt-man - I think he carried enough pain for us all.

pamela - this guy definitely took that scripture to heart!

sirdar - I think if we had a blogger contest of song, we would ALL be better than that guy. At least when we are sober.

ped crossing - LOL! Great idea! I would hope they wouldn't destroy the tapes, tho.

mimi lenox - don't be disappointed if I take a while with my tag, k? I still have two parts of one to finish, and one more after that. But I WILL do it - I promise! And I'll listen to this guy every dang day as a punishment, until I get it done.

sanni - you have certainly done some self-torture there, girlie!

m@ - I want to see a video of YOU doing something stupid next - are you game?

theotherbear - I STILL laugh when I listen to it...glad you enjoyed it!

I feel as if I've been duly punished.
Off to finish my meme that Mimi tagged us with.

This is hysterical yet sickening at the same time.
